You can use any base color of your choice. I made lots of dots all over the nails. You have to make dots randomly and you really don’t need to be super neat with this design. I used two dotting tools for making two sized dots. I then put dots over dots for a beautiful effect
(I did double dots nail art here and I am obsessed with this design!).

Even if you are not into nail arts, you can easily do it as the only thing you need to do is creating dots. You can use toothpick for making small dots and bobby pin for big ones if you don’t have dotting tools. This design looks elegant on both short and long nails.
