Eddie Funkhouser Hyperreal Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Eddie Funkhouser is a US based makeup brand that offers high quality makeup products that are cruelty free, vegan and paraben free! I had tried few of their products and I must I am very much impressed! Today I am going to review Eddie Funkhouser Hyperreal Eyeshadow Palette in Ultimate Smoky Eye!

Eddie Funkhouser Hyperreal Eyeshadow Palette comes in 4 shades and if you love doing soft or bold smokey eyes then you must choose Ultimate Smoky Eye! It is a quad palette that contains 2 colors with pearlescent finish and 2 with matte finish. It is a perfect combination of colors and finish to create a smokey look. The lightest shade is perfect for highlighter or as an eye base for creating a bold look. The second shade is warm rose gold color with hints of dusty rose in it. The color on its own looks so beautiful on eyes during daytime. The third shade is a matte black that is perfect for creating smokey eye looks! The last one is matte brown if you creating smokey yet soft looks! All the shades complements with each other really well! I have brown eyes and this palette makes my eyes look beautiful and surreal!

The texture of the eye shadow is very soft, smooth and incredibly silky. Although the eye shadow is in powder form, it feels creamy whilst application. Application of the eye shadow is super easy. I love how it spreads easily all over my lids with absolutely no fall out. I simply sweep my eye shadow brush over the desired color and apply it over my eye lids. The eye shadow does not tend to fall over my cheeks unlike few other powdery eye shadows. It provides an even coverage without giving patchy look. The pigmentation is medium to high. With the darkest shade, I get the actual color with just one application but with the lighter shades I do need 2 applications to build up the color. Even without primer, I get true and vibrant shades with just few applications. With a primer, the eye shadow look extremely gorgeous and stays for a long time. Girls, do invest in a good primer. It really does make a difference in both pigmentation and longevity.

The staying power is pretty amazing when used with a primer. I keep using it almost everyday. The eye shadow stayed on my slightly oily lids for around 10 hours without fading or creasing. It is easy to remove with olive oil or a good makeup remover.

Now comes the packaging. Eddie Funkhouser Hyperreal Eyeshadow Palette comes in a black eye shadow palette with a sturdy clear flip top lid. The lid snaps shut satisfactorily and there is no fear of it being getting messed around in a makeup bag. The packaging is quite lightweight and fits easily in my small makeup bag. There is unfortunately no integrated mirror or applicator in the packaging and I do need to carry my own compact mirror and an eye shadow brush with me while traveling.
