Born Pretty Store Ylin Color Change Nail Polish ‘Purple/ Sky Blue Color’ Review & NOTD

When I saw color change nail polish on Born Pretty Store, the first thing that came to my mind was ‘Chameleon’. I still remember how I and my friends once bunked International Financial management lecture and hid on a staircase that was rarely used by anyone. Suddenly I felt something very soft on my hands. My heart almost stopped when I saw that soft thing was none other than chameleon. Fortunately it didn’t do anything to me and ran away. My friends declared me a brave girl who did not even scream. Now coming to the review :D Today I am going to discuss my experience with Born Pretty Store Ylin Color Change Nail Polish.

Born Pretty Store Ylin Color Change Nail Polish comes in a white cardboard box packaging. The actual product comes in a small, clear round shaped glass bottle with a grey screw top lid. The packaging of the nail polish is quite funky and cute. The brush is a bit small but the bristles are quite soft. It applies smoothly without brushing along the cuticles. The nail polish can be easily carried around in a makeup bag without any fear of leakage. I love how the polish looks in the bottle.

The consistency of the nail polish is quite good. It is neither very thick nor too thin. It applies easily over the nails with a bit streaking. Although it gives true color in a single but I have the habit of applying two coats. With the second coat, the polish applies smoothly without streaking. It dries out pretty quickly with a single coat but takes few minutes to dry out completely with a second coat. The polish lasts for only 2 days when applied without top coat but doesn't chip for a good 3-4 days with a top coat. The polish has slightly rough texture but you can notice it only when you touch the nails. It creates a kind of ombre effect when dried completely (I am impressed!).

Purple / Sky Blue Color changes to sky blue color when the temperature is warm or above 33 degrees and turns to purple when it gets cold or below 33 degrees. The finish is matte but if you like glossiness, apply a good top coat. Since the temperature at my place was hot, my nails were showing sky blue color but as soon as the temperature gets a bit cool at night, it turned into a beautiful purple shade.
